January February 2026

Greetings in Christ Jesus,
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour

We know that our God is a God of peace, and His desire is that men would find peace with Him first and with  each other. Our prayer is that His will would be reality. However, we realize that man’s heart is set to do evil, and so as we pray for a peaceable and quiet life, we also pray that God would use all the events of this fallen world to bring about His perfect will: that all men would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.

In the past decade I have come to realize that God uses wars and catastrophes to shake people out of their false  sense of security or even change the make up of nations. We were given the chance to preach to thousands of Syrians due to the war there. Many people who came to Christ realized that it was indeed the hand of God who led them through difficult events to see their even deeper need. Our prayer for Lebanon, and all the countries of this region, is that His gospel would shine as a brilliant light amidst the darkness of sin.

January and February were busy with opportunities to reach some new families and start a couple new Bible studies. Attendance is always a bit inconsistent, in both home studies and public meetings, due to the general instability of life here (even without war). Please continue to pray that the Word of God would have free course and His spirit would convict people of their sin.

Last prayer letter, which I realize was 3 months ago!, I mentioned brother Adham was in Syria with his mother. Unfortunately, she passed away not long after his arrival and he returned to Lebanon not long after. The Lord blessed him and his wife in allowing his wife to get pregnant, something that doctors had said was a lost cause. We continue to study Bible institute classes and work with the young men. Speaking of which, they are doing well with most of them having found work and I have even made progress with some of their legal papers. More importantly though is that we are able to spend lots of time in the Word of God and have very frank and open discussions about many spiritual topics. My greatest prayer for them is that they might be saved!

We have received an outpouring of concern and thoughtfulness for our safety, and I want to thank all you for the heart of love and brotherhood from which that flows. Thankfully, we have not been exposed to any tangible danger. We regularly hear and see the explosions from our house, but the nature of them being very targeted strikes means that as long as we avoid that area of Beirut we remain out of the target area.

We’ve had to cancel a couple of our church meetings due to unrest in the area. As of now we don’t have intentions of leaving, but have made emergency plans. More than all, we covet your prayers.
