Missionaries to Ghana

March 5, 2026

Dear Pastor and Church,

We bring you very sincere greetings with a prayer that this meets you doing well in the Lord. Our God is good and even when we do not understand what is happening, He is still in control and will do us good

Since our last letter, we baptized four converts and we praise the Lord so much. It is our prayer that they will grow to love the Lord and live for Him. I also went to visit the new mission Brother Ekow Ansah and his wife have started at Opeikumah.

We are working our way into starting the new mission at the village of Agodjor. This is a typical Ghanaian farming village with a population less than one thousand. The population is young with lots of children under ten years. We are yet to meet anyone who is beyond seventy years old. They are very focused on their farm work. I aim at ministering there with one or two of the young men I am studying with.

Our Radio ministry is also going on quite well with listeners sometimes asking very interesting questions but that also makes me realise they are listening. I want to thank you very much for making it possible to reach my people through this means.

The Lord has brought me into contact with a young man called Ishmael who claimed he was a Christian but now a Muslim. He could not tell me exactly why he has become a muslim. But my conversations with him tell me he really did not have a relationship with Jesus Christ. He was baptized in infancy and started claiming Christianity. I asked him his hope as a Muslim. He has none. He has not even read the Koran before. I told him my hope and assurance as a believer in Jesus Christ. One day I came out of my room and he was sitting on a chair on my porch. He came with a question. “Pastor, please who is Jesus Christ?” My excitement was high and we had a good Bible study. I then gave him a small booklet I have written on Jesus Christ and what He has done for us and is doing for those who believe in Him and the assurance He has given us for eternity. I have seen him reading and reading and reading it. He is a High School graduate and speaks good English. PLEASE PRAY THAT ISHMAEL AND HIS WIFE WILL COME TO THE SAVING KNOWLEDGE OF JESUS CHRIST. He works as a grounds and security man for us.

I am struggling to tell you this. We have been members of the PLEASANT VALLEY BAPTIST CHURCH IN DALLAS, TEXAS WITH BROTHER P. D. TAYLOR AS OUR PASTOR FOR OVER FORTY YEARS. I was not saved there but received scriptural baptism there. I received practical training under Brother

P. D. Taylor and PLEASANT VALLEY BAPTIST CHURCH HAS BEEN MY SPONSORING CHURCH AS A MISSIONARY. My pastor’s wife has been our great bookkeeper and caretaker of everything concerning us. This church has loved us and been good to us beyond description. The church has been going through a lot for the past about ten years with membership running low. My Pastor has gone up in years with some health challenges. The church and I have voted that I get a new sponsoring church which has a heart for my people. Contact was made with the True North Baptist Church in Alaska where Bro. Phil McBroom is the Pastor and after much personal and congregational prayer times, our membership and sponsorship is being moved there. My Pastor, Brother P. D. Taylor will furnish you with all the details. I want to thank all of you who joined hands with Pleasant Valley Baptist Church to bring us this far. I pray that we will continue together until the Trumpet sounds. And to all of you my pastor made personal contact with on this issue, we say thank you very much. To all of you who even offered yourself first because of your love and deep concern for us, we say THANK YOU.

TO ALL OF PLEASANT VALLEY BAPTIST CHURCH, DALLAS, TEXAS, MY WIFE GLORIA, OUR YOUNG ADULTS (DELALI, MAKAFUI, SELASIE AND SENYO) SAY: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR BRINGING US THIS FAR. GOD BLESS YOU.

Brethren, it will not be long and the Lord of the harvest will appear. May we stay faithful in His vineyard.

Please if you have any questions, you can get into contact with Brother P. D. Taylor of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

God bless you all.

                                                                   Brother Samuel and Gloria.

October – December 2025

Dear Pastor and Church,

I bring you very sincere greetings from Ghana and pray that this meets you all doing well in the Lord. We thank the Lord for His grace and His eternal faithfulness. The Lord is good.

Our good and gracious God has been sustaining His work and opening doors of ministry to us and we are so thankful. About four years ago I went to Asesewa (where Brother Abraham is) and coming back I went into a village to check if I could get cassava sticks for a garden I was making. I went back two weeks later with another brother to buy the sticks. The people were very friendly, and the brother remarked that it would be great if we could plant a church there and I agreed with him. We left and I never gave a thought to the place again. Six weeks ago a young man came talking to me about the place so I went there again. They wanted someone to help them get a school started for their children. This time I sat and interacted with them. At the end I shared some Bible tracts.

Two weeks later I went back there and interacted with them, and this time the village chief and his elders were present. I shared the gospel verbally and told them I will love to be coming there for a Bible study. They greatly welcomed the proposal. I plan starting very soon. Please pray for us. The village is called AGORDJOR with a population not exceeding 1,000. I did not see any church there. The place is about 20 miles from my house. Even if we cannot establish a church there, I want them to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ with clarity. Oh, yes, they speak my tribe’s language.

Our Radio Ministry too is going on very well and we thank the Lord for this. We want to thank all of you our supporters whose prayers and finances have kept us in this ministry for well over twenty years. I remember when this ministry was suggested to me. I did not think we could do anything like that BUT GOD has been so wonderfully gracious and continues to bless abundantly with your loving support. God bless you all.

As the year comes to a close we are very thankful to the Lord that He has made it possible for us to organize four missions into churches with their ordained pastors. It has been a long journey but the Lord has been gracious and faithful. Please pray for them and also for the three more missions we are working with and the new one to be started at AGORDJOR.

Please pray with me that the Lord will raise some young men who also will be committed to the spread of the gospel in our land.

And yes, I have not told you about our tribal festival this year. It went well. I printed 1500 of my booklets presenting the gospel. There are five of them but I printed only three, each is just about 15 pages of easy reading. I also printed 2,000 gospel tracts. We distributed 1,000 of the booklets and 1600 of the gospel tracts. Our focus was to put something readable in their hands so they can read later. We do not have any direct feedback yet but we know we have sowed some good seeds.

My wife, Gloria, and I are doing good.  I crossed my 70-year mark in May and she is in the early 60’s.  Our Good God has been taking care of us. Our young ladies, Delali and Selasie, are also doing well.  The young men, Makafui in Ghana and Senyo in London, are also doing well. Thank you very much for all you are doing for us by God’s grace.

                                                                                    God bless you all,

                                                                                    Brother Samuel, Gloria and

                                                                                                Our young adults.
